Das Films is a development financing and production company, established in 2007 by producer Sriram Das. With a significant development fund, the company has acquired more than 20 high profile projects, each with a strong, built-in audience. Our experienced executives collaborate with the industry's foremost writers and directors to develop these properties and package them with marketable talent and strategic sales and distribution agreements.
Recent projects include CHUCK, directed by Philippe Falardeau and starring Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts, in collaboration with Millennium Films, released domestically by IFC Films; THE NOVEMBER MAN, directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Pierce Brosnan, distributed by Relativity Media; HEARTBEATS, written and directed by STEP-UP franchise creator, Duane Adler, released domestically by Freestyle; INTO THE FOREST premiered at the Toronto International and Pusan film festivals and was acquired for US release by A24; and SOME KIND OF BEAUTIFUL, released domestically by Lionsgate and stars Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba.
The company's first film, VERONIKA DECIDES TO DIE, directed by Emily Young and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, was produced in 2008, and released domestically by Phase 4 Films.
